Vonda Kay Hannen, 79, of Prosperity, died July 27, 2022, in her home. She was born July 15, 1943, in Washington, the daughter of the late Leo and Cheerful Turner Rush. Vonda was retired from Grace Bible School, where she was a van driver, and was a member of Grace Bible Church. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. On August 22, 1961, Vonda married Donald E. Hannen, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Donald E. Hannen, James E. Hannen (Cindy), and Robert M. Hannen (Crystal); grandchildren, Elizabeth Hannen, Robin Welling (Cody), Michael Hannen (Amanda), and Kacey Stewart; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Welling, Westlyn Welling, Wylder Welling, Liam Hannen, and Theo Hannen. Vonda was preceded in death by her siblings, Don Rush, Bill Moore, Richard Rush, Shirley Walker, Viola Barton. Friends and family will be received Sunday, July 31, 2022, 1-3pm and 6-8pm in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A graveside service is scheduled for 12pm, Monday, Aug 1, 2022 in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, intersection of Chapel Hill Road and Pleasant Grove Road, Claysville, with Pastor Stephen Spence officiating. All those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery.
