Shirley A. Jones

Shirley A. Jones, 66, of Washington, died on November 28, 2022. She was born on October 27, 1956, a daughter of the late Crane and Florence Rivers. A graduate of Wheeling Park High School, Shirley worked at Moundsville Area Nursing Facility. Mrs. Jones belonged to the Salvation Army Church in Wheeling. She loved all that the Salvation Army stands for, and she volunteered countless hours of her time there. She was very compassionate, and loved helping others. Surviving are her husband, Ronald Wayne Sprowls, with whom she had been with since 1988. Also surviving are a brother, Bryan Jones, of Bridgeport, OH; and a sister, Linda Carol, of Oil City. Deceased is a brother, Robert Jones. At the request of the deceased, all services were private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 140 16th St, Wheeling, WV 26003.
