Paul Edward Fawcett, 59, of Washington, died on January 14, 2023, in his home, surrounded by family, following a lengthy and hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on March 4, 1963, in Washington, a son of the late Walter and Billie Schrader Fawcett. A graduate of Bentworth High School, he was a member of the Bible Chapel in McMurray. Paul spent thirty years doing the only job he ever wanted, being a truck driver. A man who enjoyed to tinker, Paul built cigar box guitars and worked on his various vintage vehicles over the years. If he found an estate sale or a flea market that might have cast iron skillets, no matter how cold or early, he was there looking to add to his vast collection. He loved to spend time with his wife, his children, and his father in law and good friend, Dale Schott. More than anything though, he loved spending time with his beloved granddaughter, Eloise. On May 22, 1987, he married the love of his life, Elissa Schott, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Nash (Ariel) Fawcett; a daughter, Cheyenne Fawcett; a brother, Brad (Gloria) Fawcett; a sister, Barbara (Dave) Jones; his granddaughter, Eloise Dorazio; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Alan Fawcett. Friends and family are welcome on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the time of service, with Pastor Brad Rine officiating, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington. At the request of the deceased, interment will be private.
