Lloyd William Rugg, 93, formerly of Washington, died May 1, 2021, at the home of his daughter, Virginia, in Bloomington, IL. He was born on October 10, 1927, in Confluence, the son of the late Aaron and Hanna May Johnson Rugg. Lloyd retired from Jessop Steel with over 34 years of employment. He was a member of Friendship Community Baptist Church, the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post 175. Lloyd leaves behind a son, Kenneth (Kathy) Rugg; a daughter, Virginia (the late Phillip) Rich; sister, Mary McClintock; grandchildren, Phillip Gregory (Stacey) Rich, Andrew Rugg, Allison (Eric) Rugg, Colin Rugg, Emma Rugg; and great-granddaughter, Gabriella Gillmore. Preceding him in death were brothers, Floyd (his twin), Harry, Aaron and Herbert Rugg, and sisters, Celia Olsen, and Verna Rugg. Friends will be received Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 12 to 2 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301. Burial will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
