Larry Herbert Simpson, 79, of Fredericktown, died on April 23, 2021, in his home. He was born on February 26, 1942, in Washington, a son of the late Herbert J. and Cleda Giovannini Simpson. A graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, he was Roman Catholic by faith. Mr. Simpson had worked at Rubber Rolls, Inc., Federal Paperboard Company, Inc., and Consolidated Coal, and was the former owner/operator of the Riviera Restaurant in Fredericktown. Larry was a member of the Elks Club #776 and the Arms Club. His favorite sport was visiting the casino, and he loved being anywhere around the water. Fifty-nine years ago, on December 16, 1961, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Roman Catholic Church, Larry married the love of his life, Anna Marie Newman, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert (Elaine) Simpson; two daughters, Sherri (Dennis) Fiedler, and Renee Simpson; four grandchildren, Matthew (Falisha) Fiedler, Steven (Rachael) Fiedler, Haleigh Simpson, and Christopher Fiedler; and four great grandchildren, Paige, John, Isaac, and Evelynn, and one on the way, Brantlee. Deceased are a son, Larry Simpson, Jr., and a great grandson, Dallen Larry Fiedler. Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., the time of service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA. At the request of the deceased, burial will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
