Kaye Gaus White Stockdale, 81, of Washington, died on June 18, 2022, in the Donnell House. She was born on September 16, 1940, in Amity, a daughter of the late John and Frances Longstreath Gaus. A graduate of Trinity High School, Kaye was a member of Amity Methodist Church. Mrs. Stockdale worked for twenty-six years as a secretary in the laboratory in Washington Hospital. An avid reader, Kaye enjoyed travel, country music and shopping for shoes and purses. Her greatest joy was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. On May 2, 2002, she married Gale Faris Stockdale, Jr., who died on December 10, 2010. Surviving are three sons, M. Doug (Billie) White, Mark (Mary Jo) Stockdale, and Paul (Kim) Dearing; two daughters, Mary Kaye Dorado and Vicki (Wray) White; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, K. Scott White; a brother, John Gaus, Jr.; and a sister, Nancy Bosang. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where a funeral service and committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2022.
