Joseph Carman Swan

Joseph Carman Swan, 74, of Washington, died on January 25, 2023, in Donnell House. He was born on November 6, 1948, in Washington, a son of the late Paul and Angeline Hickman. Mr. Swan worked for Ferro Corporation for twenty-five years, until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters. On July 22, 1972, he married the love of his life, Joyce Marie Wilkinson, who died on July 30, 2016. Surviving are a son, Joseph C. (Carrie) Swan II; a daughter, Nicole (Jim) Conley; a sister, Rebecca Hildebrand; four grandchildren, Jamie Conley, Carly Conley, Kadie Swan and Ellie Swan; as well as many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Samuel “Sonny” Swan; and a sister Virginia “Sissie” Collis. Friends and family are welcome on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., the time of services, in William G.
