Donna Jean Griffin

Donna Jean Griffin, 78, of Washington, died November 23, 2022, in her home. She was born December 14, 1943, in Burgettstown, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma Biengel Sarnicke. A graduate of Union High School, Burgettstown, Donna was a homemaker and did administrative work for the family business. She was a member of the South Hills Bible Chapel. Donna had a beautiful zest for life. She loved to travel, visiting 49 of 50 states, most of which she visited with her late husband. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. A music lover, Donna enjoyed sharing a meal with friends, with the occasional visit to a casino or winery to listen to music. On August 27, 1966, Donna married Charles Griffin, who died January 26, 2009. Surviving are a son, Todd (Debbie) Griffin; a daughter, Amber Bennett; a sister, Debbie (Gary) Harris; grandchildren, Mackenzie Griffin and Rex Bennett; a niece; and a nephew. Friends and family will be received Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m., in William G.
