Linda Sue Eckert

Linda Sue Eckert, 66, of Washington, died Friday, September 18, 2009, in her residence. She was born August 13, 1943, in Washington County, a daughter of the late Albert W. Lyons, Sr., and Elizabeth Arent Lyons Miller. Mrs. Eckert was a 1961 graduate of Trinity High School and worked as a clerk for the WIC program. On March 16, 1962, she married Thomas Eugene Eckert, Sr., who died November 22, 1992. Surviving are two sons, Thomas E. Eckert, Jr., of Bend, Oregon, and William G. (Bonnie) Eckert of Eighty-Four; a daughter, Anissa Eckert of Washington; one sister, Phyllis (Harold) Westfall of Washington; and two grandchildren, Johnathan Eckert and Caitlyn Eckert. Deceased is a brother, Albert William Lyons, Jr. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 21st, with Rev. Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
