Roy Arthur McCullough, 77, of Washington, died unexpectedly at 6:45 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2005, in his home. He was born February 6, 1928, in Waynesburg, a son of James Taylor and Norma Baker McCullough. Mr. McCullough was a 1945 graduate of Waynesburg High School and attended Waynesburg College. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Spokane. Mr. McCullough was owner/operator of Sutton Printing in Waynesburg for more than 40 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Washington. Mr. McCullough was a member of Sunset Lodge 623. He became a 33rd degree Mason in 1981 and was a member of York Cross of Honor. He was committed to and extremely involved in all aspects of Masonic work, having held various local and state offices throughout his lifetime. On August 16, 1958, he married Sara Jane Litle, who survives. Also surviving are two brothers, James W. McCullough and John A. McCullough, both of Washington; and a sister, Grace (George) Barnes of Florida.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday, September 14, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial in Washington Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
