Rita Christina Close, 77, of Claysville, died Saturday, November 24, 2007, in Donnell House, following a brief illness.
She was born August 19, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Frank and Anna Vulchak Krolczyk.
Mrs. Close was Lutheran by faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bingo, crocheting and knitting.
On June 6, 1956, she married Irvin Lee Close, who died April 24, 1987.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel R. (JoAnn) Close, of Prosperity, and Wayne E. (Teri) Close, of Washington; two daughters, Cynthia Lee (Stephen) Smith, of Washington, and Lori Lynn (Terry) Schultz, of Lock Haven; two sisters, Dorothy Krieger, of Pittsburgh, and Bernadette �Bebe� Johnson, of Cecil; eleven grandchildren, Renee, Matthew, Nathan, Andrew, Elizabeth, Emily, Aaron, Daniel, Abigail, Melissa and Kayla.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007, with the Rev. Robert M. Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
