Washington resident was long-distance truck driver
Lester Marlin Anderson, 58, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in his home. He had been in declining health.
He was born September 7, 1949, in Nineveh, a son of Robert and Dorothy Lyons Anderson.
Mr. Anderson worked as a long-distance truck driver and formerly worked as a groom at various horse racing venues in the United States.
On February 10, 1968, he married Vivian Dodd, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Anderson of Cokeburg and Joshua Anderson of Washington; a daughter, Hollie (Marc) Zavallo of Eighty Four; three brothers, Robert Anderson of El Paso, Texas, Donald Anderson of Wooster, Ohio, and Carl Anderson of Hendersonville; three sisters, Ruth Ealy of Washington, Hazel Brewer of Gainesville, Texas, and Ella Mae Haddock of Leesburg, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Marc, Macen and Mitchell Zavallo, and Jeffrey, Jacob, Cody, Mackenzie, Bailey and Adam Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, David Anderson; a sister, Darlene Burt; and a grandchild, Jakota Ray Anderson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 31.
