Owner of Morris Sanitation enjoyed gardening.
James Alvin (Jimmie) Morris, 67, of Claysville, died Saturday, September 8, 2007, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 7, 1940, in Taylorstown, a son of Guy and Ruth Strope Morris.
Mr. Morris worked for Brookman's Junkyard for several years before starting his own business, Morris Sanitation, from which he retired in 1994.
He was Protestant and enjoyed going to flea markets, collecting miniature cars and gardening.
On August 10, 1991, he married Melba Ruth Galloway, who survives.
Also surviving are his sister, Audrey of Washington; a nephew, Ron of Washington; and several cousins.
Deceased are two brothers, Ken and John.
Friends will be received from 12 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
