Sandra Kay Bitz

Sandra Kay “Sandy” Bitz, 57, of Canonsburg, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in Canonsburg General Hospital. She was born April 2, 1952, in Amity, a daughter of the late John L. and Thelma Snyder Shrader. Mrs. Bitz was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and enjoyed being with family. She worked as a cashier at Shop-N-Save in Canonsburg. In 1999, she married Robert W. Bitz, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Gerald (Angie) Lemasters of Freemont, Indiana, Damon Lemasters and Steven Lemasters, both of West Finley; a brother, Sam Shrader of Banetown; five sisters, Caroline Chadwick and Thelma Chadwick, both of Prosperity, Janet Wade, Laura Ealy and Darla Miller, all of Washington; and six grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, Paige, Tasha, Austin and BreAnna. Deceased are a son, John Lemasters; and a sister, Catherine Wade. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, November 16th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
