James Edward Thompson, Jr., 45, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 24, 2010, in his residence.
He was born May 20, 1964, in Washington, a son of Wanda Kelley Hicks of Washington and the late James Edward Thompson, Sr.
Mr. Thompson was a 1982 graduate of Washington High School and attended the Barbizon School of Modeling.
He was a residential program worker for ARC and had previously been a certified nursing assistant at Presbyterian Senior Care.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his life-long best friend, John Romano; two half-brothers, Whitney Washington of McKees Rocks and Glen Hicks of Washington; three half-sisters, Justine Washington of Bridgeville and Carla Archie of Burgettstown, and Tracey Thompson; five aunts, Denise Thompson, Karen Thompson, Carol Brown, Vicki Holt and Linda Kelley; and three uncles, Harold Thompson, Richard (Dora) Thompson and Edward L. Kelley; several cousins, including Mia Johnson and Linda Chandler; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
He also leaves behind his beloved pets, Pedro and Tamas.
Friends will be received 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 30th, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington with Pastor Dora Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
