Phyllis E. Gatling Harris, 42, of Washington died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2006, in her residence. She had been ill since August 2004.
She was born November 11, 1963,in Washington, a daughter of Lois R. Gatling Calloway.
Mrs. Harris was a graduate of Washington High School. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Humbert Lane, Evergreen Assisted Living and United Cerebral Palsy’s Henderson House.
Mrs. Harris was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Leslie Gatling, Candice Harris and Marissa Harris; two brothers, John “Chrisâ€쳌 Heyman and David Gatling; one sister, Helen Gatling Ross, all of Washington; and two grandchildren, Anthan Jordan and Saniya Harris.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in John Wesley United Methodist Church, 35 Central Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006, with Rev. Larry G. Wiltrout officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 357 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301, or to John Wesley United Methodist Church, 35 Central Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
