Donald Edward Murner, 67, of Claysville, died Monday, July 26, 2010, in his residence, with his wife by his side.
He was born January 26, 1943, in Washington, a son of Edward Ray and Helen Vincek Murner.
Mr. Murner graduated from Washington High School and attended drafting school. He was a veteran of the Air Force.
For 28 years, he was an overhead craneman at Jessop Steel.
Mr. Murner was a member of the Claysville American Legion, Alpine Club, and the Eagles. He loved to play chess. Mr. Murner enjoyed music and played bass guitar in several local bands.
He was Protestant.
On November 6, 1971, he married Jean Neely, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Pamela Pyle, Melody (Scott) McVay and Sheila Feather, all of Washington; two brothers, William Edward (Betsy) Murner and Edwin Ray Murner, both of Washington; five grandchildren, Cameron (Janice), Brittney, Nicole, Norm and Kristi; granddaughter-in-law, Heather Reed; and three nieces.
Deceased is a grandson, Cody Reed.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 30th.
