John Edward Maze

John Edward Maze 1937-2017 John Edward Maze, 80, of Washington passed away August 1, 2017 at Presbyterian Senior Care, with his family by his side. He was born February 9, 1937, in Washington, the son of the late Paul Maze and Lucy Bopp Weaver. John attended Washington Schools, and was a foreman for Robinson Pipe Cleaning for more than 30 years. He was also a delivery driver for The Dog house Restaurant. Mr. Maze was a member of Local 373 Laborers of SW Pennsylvania. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. On May 18, 1960 he married Linda Lee Jeffers, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Johnna (Ray) Reese of Washington; Sisters, Pearl Cargene of Plainfield, Connecticut, Mary Jane Rose of Danielson, Connecticut, and Sue Smith of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Aly’cia & Peter Humbert whom he considered his grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are a daughter, Allison Maze; two sisters Patty Lou Maze and Sharon Steele; and a brother, Calvin “Moe” Gilmore. There will be no visitation and all services will be private by request of the deceased. Memorial contributions can be made to Abundant Life Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society.
