Thomas Troy Mitchell, 41 of Aliquippa, formerly of Washington, died unexpectedly May 25, 2016.
He was born November 26, 1974 in Washington, the son of Thomas (Nancy) Mitchell of Washington and Sandra Clark (Craig) Odlund of Peters Township.
Thomas was employed as a sous chef and also a laborer in the property preservation industry.
Thomas won an Iron Chef competition in Cleveland and enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, skiing and surfing. He was an artist and attended an apprenticeship with American Tattoo Company in Verona, PA and Hawaii.
He loved his family and adored his children. He loved animals and they easily followed him. He loved nature more than city life.
He was a people person. Many didn’t understand him but he understood parts of himself in everyone. He was nonjudgmental and would fight for any lost soul, because to him everyone mattered.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Shane Patrick Mitchell of Monroeville, a daughter, Marina Autumn Mitchell of Aliquippa; a sister Stephanie (Matt) Blasch of Peters Township and former wife, Kelly Mitchell of Monroeville, who was his best friend.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, in Trinity Bible Fellowship, 1350 Park Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Michael Roach officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
