Steven Bradley Ward, 34, of Washington, died unexpectedly, from complications of a stroke, in Allegheny General Hospital, on Sunday, December 6, 2015, surrounded by immediate family. Steven was born on December 2, 1981, in Washington, to parents George and Linda Ewing Ward, of Washington. A 2000 graduate of Washington High School, Mr. Ward graduated in 2004 from Waynesburg College with a BA in Criminal Justice. Steven was a gifted athlete on the football teams at college. Mr. Ward was a hardworking, dedicated employee of Allegheny Ludlum for the past two years. He was a member of the Independent Club and the Keystone Club in Washington. An avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Florida Gators fan, he enjoyed woodworking and weightlifting. Surviving are two brothers, Brian (Sherie) Ward, of Washington, and Brian (Cindy) Blando, of Byron, GA; a sister, Sara (Frank, III) Grazulis, of New Kensington; nieces and nephews, Maci and Jackson Ward, Austin and Seth Blando, Frank, IV, Olivia and Cade Grazulis; paternal grandmother, Mary Ward, Godchildren, Keegan, Brooklyn, and Scottlyn Hott, his beloved dog, Dozer, and many loving friends. Deceased are his maternal grandparents, Edward and Veronica Ewing, paternal grandfather, George A. Ward, and paternal grandmother, Mary Lauderbaugh. Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2015. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The staff and doctors at Washington Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital were kind and compassionate and heroic.
