Joan Marasco, 87, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014, in Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born August 1, 1927, in Houston, a daughter of John and Lucy Spin Pallette.
Mrs. Marasco graduated from Chartiers Houston High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and helped care for ill people.
Mrs. Marasco was a member of Friendship Community Church, where she was involved with the prayer group and was a Sunday School officer.
On July 14, 1946, she married Rev. Floyd C. Marasco, Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Floyd C. Marasco, Jr., of Claysville; three daughters, Christine (Everett) Sechler of Confluence, Paulette J. (Gary) Stout of Washington, and Amy Jo (James) Simpson of Murraysville; a sister, Marion Russo of Lawrence; six grandchildren, Joel and Joshua Sechler, Timothy and Stephen Simpson, Debbie Jo Macre and Angela (James) Callam; and a great-granddaughter, Clara Sechler.
Deceased are a daughter, Rebecca Angeline Marasco; three sisters, Theresa Pallette, Thelma Cancilla and Rose Cancilla; and four brothers, Frank, Joe, Benny and Anthony Pallette.
Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 23rd, with Pastor Terry Ardeno officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
