Edna Virginia McMillen Schott, 94, formerly of Chartiers Township, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the home of her daughter and son in law, Dolly and Louie Oliverio, where she lived for the past five years She was born March 20, 1920, in Bavington, PA, the daughter of James Harry McMillen and Flora Ann Isiminger McMillen Morgan. She married Eugene Schott, June 23, 1938, in Cumberland, MD. He died in 1997. Edna attended school in Hickory, PA and was a Deacon and preschool teacher at Chartiers Cross Roads Presbyterian Church in Washington. She and her husband ran a Gas Station and Hardware store on Route 18 North, had tourist cabins and Schott Equipment Sales until 1991. Edna ran a lunchroom at the gas station and was famous for her ham barbeque sandwiches and her home baked pies. She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Faye “Dolly” (Louis) Oliverio and a son, Eugene Dale Schott, grandchildren, Ericca Heim, Elissa Fawcett, Eddie Schott, Andrea Ryan, Toni Ricker and Jason Oliverio; 11 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, including, Skip and Kathy Redick. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Evelyn Wilson, Leona Belle McElhaney, Margaret Veneta Redick-Wyeth, Wilma McMillen, James McMillen and Floyd Edward McMillen, a daughter, Patricia Ann Tustin; a granddaughter, Jamiee Tustin. Friends will be received April 17, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Services will be held at Chartiers Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, 502 Old Hickory Ridge Rd, Washington, on Friday, April 182014, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Bunting officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery. Those attending the service, please meet at the church.
