Marcie Lynn Adkins

Marcie Lynn Adkins, 52, of Strabane, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 15, 2014 in her home, following a lengthy illness.  Ms. Adkins was born on March 6, 1962, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Melvin and Janet Adkins, of, Strabane.  Marcie captured your attention and your heart, with her contagious smile and silly, playful spirit. Her greatest enjoyment was music, and spending time in the company of the many friends and relatives who loved her so much.  She fought long and hard during her life-long illness, and surpassed all expectations of survival. She was living proof of the power and magic of love.  She will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her.  Surviving, in addition to her parents are, two brothers, Melvin Adkins and Richard Adkins of Strabane, three sisters, Pamela Emerick, of Houston, PA, Tina (Philip) Engel, of Helena MT, and Jodi Dulaney of Canonsburg, and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in the William Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 20, 2014.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, PA.
