Raymond Stanley Grudi

Raymond Stanley Grudi, 74 of Canonsburg, died Monday, December 2, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born November 27, 1939 in Washington, the son of Theodore John Grudi and Susan Alice Jurkovsky. Mr. Grudi graduated from Washington High School and attended Wisconsin University. He was a banking officer at Mellon Bank for 36 years. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the National Guard. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Washington County Council on Economic Development for five years. He was an avid golfer, coached youth baseball, and enjoyed hunting. On May 19, 1962 he married Judith Ann McGrew Grudi with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Also surviving are four sons, Ray (Tracey) Grudi Jr. of Thomasville, PA, Steven (Michelle) Grudi of Herndon, VA, Jeffrey A. Grudi of Washington, Brian (Kelley) Grudi of Venetia; a sister, Josephine Jeffries of Washington; six grandchildren, Erica, Hannah, Addyson, Neal, Cole and Riley. Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held Friday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jack Batykefer officiating. Burial will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park.
