Daniel Joseph Passo, 54, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 18, 2013, in the Washington Hospital. He was born on April 5, 1959, in Washington, a son of the late Daniel and Christina Hennick Passo. He was a graduate of Trinity High School. When he was younger, he had been an active member of St. Hilary Catholic Church, and most recently had attended Central Assembly of God. Mr. Passo worked as a laborer at Industrial Gasket and Shim Industries, for 28 years. An avid photographer, he loved soccer and the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking in Colorado and Big Bend National Park, in Texas. Daniel especially loved watching his daughters playing soccer and dancing. His daughters and his family were his life. On April 24, 1999, he married Conniejo Straka, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Margaret “Maggie” Bedillion and Briana Bedillion, both of Washington; 3 sisters, Christina (Joseph) Tomecsko, of Houston, PA; Donna (William) Walker, of Flat Rock, MI; and Mary (Michael) Jestat, of Rockwood, MI; his father-in-law, Andrew Straka, sister-in-law, Patricia (Doug) Cook; 6 nieces, Jennifer (Brian) Leichliter; Heather (Chris) Lada; Gail (Paul) Marks; Shelby (J.D.) Hunter, Michaela Jestat and Melissa Cook; 3 nephews, Jonathan Tomecsko; and Kevin and Ryan Cook; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received on Monday, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013, with Rev. Steve Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
