Barbara Patterson

Barbara Patterson, 76, of Washington, died Friday, July 19, 2013, in her home with her family by her side. She was born November 6, 1936, in Claysville, a daughter of William O. Danley and Gladys Sampson Danley. Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of Claysville High School. A homemaker, she worked as a sales clerk at the BonTon for four years. Mrs. Patterson was a member of First Christian Church and attended Fairhill Manor Church. On June 26, 1955, she married James W. Patterson, who died February 6, 2013. Surviving are a son, James W. Patterson (Denise) Patterson, Jr., of Washington; a daughter, Susan Kania of Canonsburg; a brother, David Danley of Fountain Hill, Arizona; two grandchildren, Shannon Tokar and Adam Tokar; and three step grandchildren, Samantha Simile, Zachary Simile and Max Mastrean. Deceased are a sister, Faye Belcastro; and three brothers, Edwin, Robert and Richard Danley. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 22nd, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
