Dorothy Agnes Borowski, 83, of Washington, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in Humbert Lane Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 15, 1929, in Canonsburg, daughter of Michael Brodnick and Helen Dobrosky Brodnick.
Mrs. Borowski was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing bingo, and spending time with her great-grandson.
She was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church.
On February 5, 1949, she married Joseph John Borowski, who died August 1, 2012.
Also surviving are a daughter, Paula Behm of Marianna; three brothers, James (Ursula) Brodnick and John (Shirley) Brodnick, both of Houston, and David (Judy) Brodnick of Washington; a sister, Delores (Anthony) Lucciola of Maryland; three grandchildren, Gary J. (Kristine) Behm, Kristine Behm and Michelle Behm; and a great-grandson, Zachary Behm.
Deceased are a brother, Robert Brodnick; and two sisters, Mildred Verchek and Martha Brodnick.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 4th, in Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, with Father Mark Swoger as celebrant. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
