Wilma Jean Westfall

Wilma “Jean” Moore Westfall, 85, of Washington, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 27, 2023, in the Donnell House. She was born December 18, 1937, in Daybrook, W.Va., a daughter of the late Francis Marion and Audie Mae Eddy Moore. Jean was a member of the North Buffalo Presbyterian Church and a 30-year charter member of the Washington and Greene County Antique Tractor Association. Before spending her later years as a homemaker, she was employed by Gee Bee’s Department store and Eat‘n Park as a carhop. Jean enjoyed baking homemade cookies to share with her family and friends. She was a cat lover and an avid NASCAR Racing fan with her favorite driver being Kevin Harvick. Most of all, she cherished family gatherings and spending time with her loved ones. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald Westfall, and a daughter Tonya (Frank) Phillips of Houston, Pa.; three grandchildren – Stacey (B. Jay) Barnard of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carla (Scott) Alaskey of Houston, Pa., and Kayla Reed of Washington, Pa.; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Jean was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are her parents, twelve siblings, a daughter, Joy Arlene Rush, and a son, Donald Eugene Rush. She was a loving and caring person all of her life, an exceptional wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose passing will leave a lasting impression on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family wishes to thank Concordia Hospice and the Donnell House staff for their compassion and care shown to Jean and her family during this difficult time. Friends will be received Friday, December 1, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2nd, with Pastor Clayton LaPosta officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
