Wilma Harriette Steele Cowden 79, of Cross Creek Twp. passed away peacefully on November 11, 2017.Wilma was born on April 26, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Mylert Harry Steele and Olive Gertrude Reese SteeleShe was a graduate of Washington High SchoolWilma was a secretary for the Washington School District for thirty-five years.She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Washington.Wilma enjoyed playing the piano, organ, banjo, and guitar, also to sing and perform. She loved dogs, cats and horses.On July 13, 1991 she married William (Guy) Cowden, who survives.Also surviving are two step-sons, Todd Cowden, of Washington & Thomas W. (Michelle) Cowden, of Avella; three step-daughters, Debra (Fallo) Montgomery, of Wheeling, WV, Kimberly (David) Freno, of Cecil, Christy (Wayne) Campbell, of Columbus, OH; a brother Harry (Margaret) Steele, of Washington; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a niece, Wendy (Chris) Petronka, and a nephew, Tom (Laurel) Steele.Deceased are brother, Mylert Harry Steele, and a grandson, Tyler Campbell.Friends will be received Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt Prospect Cemetery
