William C. Ullom Jr.

William C. Ullom, Jr. passed peacefully at home on Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was born on October 28, 1938, in Canonsburg, the son of William C. Ullom Sr. and Isabelle Conway Ullom. William was a 1957 graduate of Hickory High School. He worked at various jobs, retiring from a maintenance position at First Christian Church. William was a member of the Washington First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed time with family and friends, watching animal and history shows, and fishing. In 1971, he married Betty K. George Ullom, who survives. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, William “Pete” (Sandra), Theodore (Debra), and Andrew (Georgia) of Washington, and Robert of Hickory; grandchildren Tiffany (Brian) Scott, Krystle Wise, Timothy Ullom, Cole Kasula and Emma and Krysten Ullom; great-grandchildren Finnegan and Delaney Scott and Wesley Ullom; step-great-grandchildren Britt (Jake) Slaney and Rowan; and his sister, Marlene Walker. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, who died at birth, Timothy; his first wife, Lois Mae Bissett Ullom; and sister Geraldine Riggle. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024, with Pastor Kyle Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
