William E. Johnson

William E. “Bill” Johnson, 85, went to be with our Lord, September 28, 2023, in his home, with his wife and son by his side. He was born May 11, 1938, a son of the late David L. and Dorothy B. Caldwell Johnson. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1957. Mr. Johnson worked at a glass house, Tristate Engineering, and he drove a school van for D&W Bus Company for thirty-four years. He loved going to the casino. On December 8, 1957, he married the love of his life, Eva Lee Bell, who survives. They had been married for sixty-five years. Also surviving are a son, William L. (Debbie) Johnson, of Lincoln, IL; a daughter, Kimberly (Jeff) Alderson, of Surprise, AZ; a brother, Charles (Annette) Johnson, of Georgia; two sisters, Judy (Jessie) Lindsey, of Texas and Lois (Frank) Meyer, of Washington; two grandchildren, Robyn Johnson, of Lincoln, IL and Cassie (fiancé Phil Peckich) Alderson, of Pittsburgh; a great granddaughter, Aiyanna, of Lincoln, IL; a sister-in-law, Linda (the late Bill) Garrett, of Canonsburg; a niece, Bobbi (David) Mark; a nephew, John Lyons; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and aids at 365 Hospice, your excellent care, and your compassion and kindness you showed Bill and our family through this difficult time, is something that we will never forget. Deceased are a brother, David Johnson; and two sisters, Dorothy Nyswaner and Emily Briggs. All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
