William L. Horn

William L. Horn, 85, of Cokeburg, died December 22, 2023, in the Washington Hospital. He was born August 15, 1938, in Washington, the son of the late Emerson and Sara Moore Horn. A graduate of East Washington High School, Bill attended Potomac State College where he majored in Business. Mr. Horn joined the United States Navy in 1959. In his free time, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, classic cars, going to car shows, watching his grandson race motorcycles, and watching sports, especially the Steelers. On November 15, 1960, Bill married Jean Kilgore Horn, whom he was married to for 62 years until her passing in December of 2022. Together they had 4 children, James Horn (deceased), Jamie Horn, of Cokeburg, Billie Jo Horn, of Wheeling, WV, and Ronald W. Horn, of Washington. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald I. Horn (Valorie); a sister, Marianne Davis (Kent); grandchildren, Travis (Kristin) Horn, Autumn Kita, James Horn, Heather Horn, Jennifer Chervenick (Chad), and Austin Leech; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his son James, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua R. Lowery. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or service.
