William D. Golna

William "Bill" D. Golna passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Washington, PA, to the late William Golna and Mary Ambrose Golna, Bill was a graduate of Trinity High School. He went on to attend Millersville University, where he showcased his athletic talent as the quarterback of the football team. Throughout his adult life, Bill's passion for sports never waned. He was an avid participant in golf, softball, hockey, and pool. As the former President of the Washington County Pool League, Bill led Yoc's Pool Team to numerous championships. Bill was also a dedicated member of the Pulaski Club and the owner of Bill Golna Flooring, formerly known as B&M Carpet. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Carol Sue Golna. He was a devoted fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams and took great joy in watching his grandsons, Hunter and Brody, play sports. Bill is survived by his loving children, Behn (Erin) Golna of Washington, PA, and Melissa (Christopher) of Aberdeen, NC. Grandchildren Brody and Hunter. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings, Mary Ann (Don) Leslie of Daphne, AL, Joyce (Dale) Schott of Washington, PA, and George (Pat) Stone of Florence, SC. Bill's legacy of love for family and sports will be remembered by all who knew him. The family will have a celebration of life on July 13, 2024, at Hungry Jose's Restaurant from 1 to 5 pm.
