William “Shawn” Durila, 58, of Washington, died May 23, 2023, in Washington Hospital. He was born January 15, 1965, in Washington, the son of the late Robert Edward and Helen Mildred Mullins Durila. Shawn was a member of the Edwin Scott Linton American Legion, Post 175, and the Pulaski Club. He loved camping with his family at Big Bear Lake, cruising on the golf cart, and hanging out around a blazing bonfire with family and friends. On October 27, 1990, Shawn married Penny E. Kerns, who survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Jaime Durila (Paul Fidurski), of Canonsburg; sons, Christopher Shawn Durila (Morgan) of Canonsburg, and Nickoles Shawn Durila (Ashley), of Washington; grandchildren, Derek Cuteri, Ash Morrow, Rylei Morrow, Cesarina Fidurski, Emerson Kessler, and Sadie Durila; siblings, Cindy L. Jay, of Fredericktown, Melissa Jay (Richard), of Fredericktown, Melinda Poland (Danny), of Washington, Stephen C. Durila, of Fredericktown, Richard C. Durila (Jean), of Bentleyville, Bob Durila, of Carmichaels; sister-in-law, Robin “Boo” Kerns; and his beloved dogs, Rufus and Henry. Preceding Shawn in death was a sister, Helen M. Durila, and a brother, Robert E. Durila. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help the family with funeral expenses. Family and friends will be received Friday, May 26, 2023, 2-6 pm, followed by a service at 6pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
