William Raymond Donahue, 90, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, in Washington Hospital. He was born January 22, 1934, in Washington, a son of the late Raymond William and Viola McCartney Donahue. On December 17, 1959, he married Naomi Ruth Johnson Donahue, who passed away October 14, 2008. Mr. Donahue was a graduate of Washington High School. He served in the Army from October 4, 1956, until his honorable discharge on July 7, 1958. He worked for 27 years as a packer at Brockway Glass, on the loading dock at Phillips Lighting for 14 years and as a mail carrier for the USPS for 14 years. Mr. Donahue was a member of the First Christian Church. He loved woodworking, working on jigsaw puzzles, and watching Westerns on TV. Surviving are his sons, Michael R. (Rose) Donahue and Jonathan P. Donahue; grandchildren Jessica (Ryan) Deems, Jacob (Amanda) Donahue, and Jonathan (Jamie) Donahue; great-grandchildren Riley, Addison, Nathaniel, Lily, Abby, Bailey and Chloe; and his sister, Shirley Adams. Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, is his sister, Patricia Burnett. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
