William Freemont Catlin

William Freemont Catlin, 60, of Washington, died May 21, 2022, in his home. He was born August 2, 1961, in Washington, the son of the late William Hilton and Atheriea Black Catlin. Freemont was a Washington High School graduate. He continued his education at Waynesburg University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. He was a Counselor with Allegheny County Adolescent Probation Department, and also worked for Southwood Psychiatric Hospital Family Based Services. He loved spending time with friends and family. He was an all-around athlete, a mentor to many people, a coach with Washington High School football, and counselor at Lemoyne Center. He also enjoyed the time he spent working with children on the Autism Spectrum. On October 23, 1987, Freemont married Renay Langston, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Vincent Catlin; daughter, Noelle Catlin; brothers, Kevin Catlin, Duane Catlin, and William Snavely; sisters, Deborah Renee Catlin Lockett, Denise Catlin, and Shirley Snavely; grandchildren, Jerrod, Vincent, Paycen, Ila, and Karma; any many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Catlin. Friends and family will be received Saturday, June 11, 2022, 12 until 2pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a service will be held at 2pm, with Rev. Derrick Johnson officiating.
