Wayne Waychoff, 82, of Washington, died October 2, 2023, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born October 4, 1940, in Washington, the son of Wilbert Matthew and Mildred Irene Ward Waychoff. A graduate of Trinity High School, he worked for Washington Mould as a moulder for more than 40 years, and for JC Penney in security. Mr. Waychoff proudly served his country in the US Army and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Marksman (Carbine), and Sharpshooter (Rifle). Wayne was a member of the American Legion Post 175, and a Life-member of the Independent Club. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, slot machines, and dart ball. Family was important to him, and he loved spending time with family and friends. On October 20, 1959, Wayne married Nancy Leah Stiles, who died January 2, 2000. Surviving are his sons, Michael Wayne Waychoff, and William Matthew Waychoff; a daughter, Rhonda Sue (Ron) Grabiak; grandchildren, Brandon, Jarrod, Taylor, Hannah, Logan, and Parker; great-grandchildren, Lily, Jackson, and one on the way, Nova Lee; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Nancy, Wayne was preceded in death by a brother, John Waychoff, and a sister, Alice Burt. Family and friends will be received Monday, October 9, 2023, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, with a service Tuesday, October 10th at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in North Buffalo Cemetery.
