Walter “Buzzy” Hatfield, 83, of Washington, died on Friday, August 3, 2018, in the Donnell House. He was born on September 9, 1934, in Amwell Township, a son of the late Allie and Cora Shaw Hatfield. A graduate of Washington High School, he was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. Mr. Hatfield was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Brockway Glass, Frazier Simplex, Metro Ball Glass, and as a security guard at Millcraft. A giving, loving man, he loved spending time with his family, going to Bob Evans for breakfast, and watching John Wayne movies. In January, 1966, he married Dolores McBratney, who died on October 27, 1991. Surviving are a son, Jeffrey (Terri) Hatfield, of Washington; four daughters, Vanessia (Tom) Berzinsky, of Canonsburg, Rebecca (Richard) Caumo, of Houston, Charlene (Mike) Scuvoti, of Washington and Deborah Gatten, of Texas; two sisters, Eileen Gowern, of Canonsburg and Shirley Fullerton, of Maryland; seven grandchildren, Christy, Shawn, Jennifer, Lauren, Alexandra, Dustin and Sarah; three great grandchildren, Sage, Carson and Leila; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three stepbrothers, Ray Yeager, Albert Yeager and James Yeager and a stepsister, Betty Yeager. Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 8, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2018, with Rev. Ross Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded graveside by the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
