Veril Dean Richmond 84, of Washington passed away on November 7, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital. Dean was born May 24, 1933 in Cameron, WV son of the late Fritz Richmond and Zerval Blake Richmond. He was a 1951 graduate of Claysville High School. Dean worked for Jessop Steel Company for 41 years as a Chemical Steel Analyst in the chemical lab. He was a member of the Grove U.P. Church in West Middletown. Dean was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, enjoyed fixing tv’s, loved remodeling the house, also enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren. On August 3, 1968 he married Nancy Kimble who survives. Also surviving are two sons; Ronald (Karen) Richmond of Washington and Dean A.(Melissa) Richmond of Canonsburg; daughters, Terrie ( Dennis) Calvert of Tidioute, Tracie (Jim Hughes) Henderson of Washington, Sharon (Raymond) Ingram of Washington; grandchildren, Amy ( Joe) Priest, Steven (Elaine) Calvert, Adam Henderson, Sara (John) Beckus, Cassie Richmond, Laurel Richmond, Joshua Ingram, Tyler Richmond, Gavin Richmond; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Cora, Cayden, Kayla, Jack, Kate, Maliyah, Dominic, Julius, Larry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, his twin Gene Richmond, and Ronald Wayne Richmond; sisters, Lillian Widmer, Wanda Janovich; children Joyce and Vaughn Richmond. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Jack Emerick officiating. Burial to follow at Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Grove U.
