Vera L Fordyce

  Vera Louise Fordyce of Washington, passed away on August 1, 2017 at Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born on February 1, 1936 in Washington, the daughter of the late Samuel and Ione Jones Parisse. Vera attended Washington Schools and worked at The Washington Hospital as a Nurses Aid and Medical Secretary. Vera so greatly missed her dog Cloe who passed a few years ago. She was Catholic by faith. On June 19, 1959 she married James W. Fordyce who died on April 20, 2014.  Surviving are three sons, Richard brown of Washington, James (Mary) Fordyce II of Raleigh, NC, and Jeff (Kathryn) Fordyce of Prosperity; brother, Samuel Parisse of Washington; grandchildren, Kelli, Erica, Ryan Tessa and Connor; and three great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to her husband is a sister Clara. Public Visitation will be held on Friday August 4, 2017 from 11-1 at William G. Neal Funeral Homes 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301. Burial will be private at Forest Lawn Gardens.
