Vaughn Arlene Crouse

Vaughn Arlene Polen Crouse, 91, of Washington, passed away in her home on July 7, 2022. She was born on March 7, 1931, in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Thomas D. and Violet Thomas Polen. Mrs. Crouse earned her LPN degree from Waynesburg School of Nursing. She was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church Vaughn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Washington Hospital and Kane Hospital in Kirwan Heights. She loved working in her garden, and traveling. On May 13, 1950, she married the love of her life, George Edward Crouse, Jr., who died on July 9, 2013. Surviving are two sons, Barry L. (Janet) Crouse, of Jefferson, and Scott E. (Kandace) Crouse, of Washington; four grandchildren, Michelle (Ray) Welsbacher, Melody (Steve) Coleman, John (Janelle) Dawson, and Christian (Heather) Loughman; seven great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren. Deceased is a brother, Marlin D. Polen. She was the last of her immediate family, therefore, at the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing nor services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave #1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
