Tracy Lee Mcdermott

Tracy Lee McDermott, 56, of Washington, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in the Donnell House. She was born on June 27, 1964, in Washington, a daughter of the late Paul Edward Yater, Sr. and Geneva June Allen Yater. Tracy was a 1982 graduate of Trinity High School. She loved her job working in the cafeteria, and interacting with the children in the Trinity School district. Tracy enjoyed gardening, flowers, and watching the cardinals outside. She loved Blizzard, the three-legged dog, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, and watching them play sports. Surviving are two children, Katherine B. “Katie” McDermott, of Washington, and James Robert “Robbie” George McDermott, of Washington; a brother, William H. “Bill” (Darlene) Yater, of Claysville; six nieces and nephews, William C. (Andrea) Yater, Amy L. (James) Murray, Ashley D. (Joseph) Lese, Paul E. (Lynn) Yater, Martin P. Yater, and Zachary S. Yater; numerous great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Tracy was loved by many. Deceased is a brother, Paul E. Yater, Jr. Friends will be received On Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the time of service, in the Arise Christian Fellowship Church, 682 Broad Street, Washington, with Pastor Timothy Lindsay officiating.
