Thomas C. Shoup, Jr., 70, of Amity, died February 21, 2022, in his home, after a long struggle with COPD. He was born November 25, 1951, in Washington, the son of the late Thomas Shoup, Sr. and Delores Hanna Shoup. Thomas served two years active duty with the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Mr. Shoup was retired from Bayer Corp, where he was a machinist for 30 years. He loved fishing and woodworking and enjoyed playing scratch off games, and casino games on the computer. On August 16, 1975, Thomas married Beverly Engle Shoup, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Christopher Shoup; brothers, Chuck Shoup, Steve (Renee) Shoup, Ben (Cindy) Shoup, and Mike Tarr; sisters, Debbie Allen McNeely, Penny (Jerry) Panchura, Karen (Bo) Caldwell, and Missy (John) Fisher; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was raised by his stepfather, the late Paul Tarr. At the request of the deceased all services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
