Thomas Allen Laurine

Thomas Allen Laurine, 80, of Claysville, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born March 10, 1944, in West Chester, a son of the late Lawrence Laurine and Juanita Cheek Laurine. Thomas was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School. In his early years, he worked at his father’s auto body shop and the former Frankin Mall as a maintenance manager. He retired as an independent transportation contractor for McGuffey School District. He enjoyed collecting automobiles and restoring them with his sons. He also enjoyed sitting on his wrap around deck, where he relaxed while watching birds, deer and other animals, looking at his frog pond and listening to the sounds of nature. He loved spending time with family and friends and telling jokes and stories. On October 16, 1963, he married Sandra A. Jones Laurine, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Brian (Jamie) Laurine of Claysville and Brent (Angela) Laurine of Washington; two daughters, Heather Grimes of Claysville and Milene Laurine of Claysville; two sisters, Dale (Ralph) Gudeman of Mobile, Ala., and Karen (Park) McFarlane of Greensburg; 12 grandchildren, Michael, JD, Justin, Brady, Darien and Emily Laurine, Christine (Bo) Thomas, Marissa, Matthew and Brandon (Beth) Grimes, James Schirripa and Bekah Derby; and 12 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Larry Laurine, and a great-grandson, Jayce Waylon Little.
