Thomas S. King

Thomas “Tom” S. King, 95, of Strabane Woods, Washington, passed away June 9, 2024. He was born January 7, 1929, in Washington, a son of the late Frank S. King and Elsie Hammond King. Tom was a 1947 graduate of Trinity High School and had worked as a plate maker at Observer Reporter Publishing Company. He was a member of First Christian Church. Tom loved watching and cheering on his grandchildren during their sporting events. He was a family man and loved his wife with all his heart. He was a member of American Legion Post 175. On August 16, 1950, he married his wife, Rose Ellen Piatt King, who passed away November 14, 2023. Surviving are two daughters, Toni Jean (Larry Lewis) Stevens of Zanesville, Ohio, and Jodi Lynn (Matthew) Hough of Ortanna, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Nathan (Andrea) Hough, Mackenzie McKolosky, Whitney (TJ) Polacek and Tanner (Marisa) Hough; and great-grandchildren Jaxson McKolosky, Knox McKolosky, Sofia and Victoria Hough, Teddy and Ellie Rose Polacek. All arrangements are private and entrusted to the funeral home.
