Thomas Andrew Dames, Sr., 93, of Bentleyville, died on December 18, 2020, in his home. He was born on May 23, 1927, in McMurray, a son of the late Andrew and Anna Caddies Dames. He was catholic by faith. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Navy, having fought at Pearl Harbor. He was honorably discharged on April 16, 1948. Mr. Dames was a dairy farmer, and had also worked as a steelworker at Universal Cyclops, was a pilot, and a tour guide at a Warbirds Museum in Florida. On May 14, 1947, he married Lillian Catherine Fera, who died on December 21, 2019. Surviving are a son, Thomas Andrew (Sandra) Dames, Jr., of Washington; a daughter, Cathy Jo (Euhlan Lee, Jr.) Goans, of Monongahela; a sister, Catherine "Tina" Wagner, of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Tad (Cathy) Dames, Tommy (Holly) Dames, and Troy (Elizabeth) Dames, and Keith (Gina) Stafford, Joey Stafford and Scott Stafford; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, William and Andrew Dames; and two sisters, Agnes Lea and Barbara Maioli. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all services were private.
