Terry Randall Pepper

Terry Randall Pepper, 67, of Eighty Four, Pa., passed away peacefully in his home, January 15, 2018. Terry was born September 2, 1950, in Monte Vista, Colorado, to Beatrice Pepper of Rockford IL., and the late Notley Pepper. As a young man Terry enlisted in the Marine Corps, and proudly served in the Vietnam conflict, earning numerous ribbons and awards. While stationed in Washington DC he met the love of his life, Tona. They were married January 19, 1971. After being honorably discharged, Terry settled with his family in southwest PA. He worked as a coal miner at Mathies Mine, and was an active member of the UMWA. Terry enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing cards, and tinkering. What he most enjoyed was gabbing and joking with people. Terry was an especially outgoing guy who could pull anyone into a conversation. Besides his mother Beatrice, he is survived by wife Tona May (Yuvan); son Andrew Virgil; daughter Lisa Dawn; sisters Linda (Edwin) Pingel and Meri Rhonda (Roger) Smith; and brothers Roger (Judy) Gray, Rex (Carol) Pepper, and Kevin (Carrie) Pepper. He also leaves behind mother-in-law May Moticko; in-laws Shirley and Richard Gottschalk, Tony and Dianna Yuvan, and Linda and Ronald Cox; plus, many treasured nieces, nephews, and friends. Terry also leaves behind adored cats, notably Mr. Kitty. He was preceded in death by his father Notley, brother Timmy, and father-in-law Andrew Moticko. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 22nd.  Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.  Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fix 'Ur Pet, 2215 Hill Church Houston Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
