Susan Jean Yater

Susan Jean Yater, 70, of Canonsburg, died on July 13, 2022, in Washington Hospital. She was born on January 9, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William Blakely and Mildred Drewes Cargo. Susan was a graduate of Peter’s Township High School. She had worked for five years at Walmart. Ms. Yater enjoyed sewing, painting, playing the online game Candy Crush, being on Facebook, and sitting on her porch with her iPad in hand. Surviving are two daughters, Mitzie (Earritt) Bennett, of Washington, and Ashley Yater, of Washington; a stepson, Charles (Amy) Yater, Jr., of Canonsburg; a stepdaughter, Sheila (Keith) Watson, of Wadestown, WV; a brother, William (Renna) Cargo, of Concord, NC; a sister, Marsha (Rick) Cattaneo, of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, Mayli, Layni, Maison, Adara, Noah, Camren, and Cooper; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and her best friend, Lisa Workman Hennick. Deceased is a sister, Debra Charlier. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services.
