Steve "Jack" George Welch

Steve “Jack” George Welch, 73, of Washington, died Friday, January 1, 2021 in his home. Jack was born November 3, 1947 in Washington, the son of the late Charles and Marie Bopp Welch. He attended Trinity High School and worked as an Optician. He was a past member of VFW, an avid Pirates and Wild Things fan, and a beer connoisseur. On April 4, 1970, Jack married Sharon Atchison, who survives. Also surviving are a son William Welch of Washington; daughters Jackie (Shane) Fowler, Leslie Gaines, and Carol Pallett, all of Washington; brother John (Kathy) Welch of Eighty-Four; sisters Elizabeth (Chuck) Baumgardner of Washington and Diane (Mike) Austing of Tridelphia; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jack is preceded in death by a son Steve Welch; a brother Charles Welch, Jr.; and grandchildren Hope and Faith. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all services are private and entrusted to William G.
