Stephanie Louise Shelly Shores

Stephanie Louise Shelly Shores, 54, of Washington, formerly of Clairton, was born on April 9, 1970 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. She was the daughter of Mary Shelly Johnson and Jonathan Johnson, Jr. She attended Clairton High School and later received her General Education Diploma. Stephanie was employed for 18 years at the Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center of Washington, as a supervisor of the housekeeping department. She was loved by so, so, so many members and their children. Her genuine kindness, great hugs, beautiful smile and the bright light within her will truly be missed by all who knew her during their wellness journey at the Wellness Center and in both the Clairton and Washington community! She received an Honorary Call of Honor State Trooper Award from the Pennsylvania State Trooper Department! Stephanie loved reading her word and she loved the Lord! On any given Sunday you could find her in the house of the Lord in Washington or having her own praise service at home as she watched her favorite pastors! Stephanie, affectionately known as “Mrs. Steph” to many who knew her, loved to do many things during her free time. She loved spending time with her husband. She loved reading, watching Law & Order Special Victims Unit, the Food Network and listening to gospel. She loved watching her “figure”, staying fit and completing workout challenges at the Wellness Center. She loved and was always anxiously excited to have a party with her grandchildren on any random day of the week. Her grandchildren knew when Grandma came to town, it was “Party Time”!!!! She transitioned to her eternal home on February 25, 2025 at UPMC Washington. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Zjontal Shelly and Wyatt Green, Jr. Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Michael P. Shores of Washington; her loving parents, Mary and Jonathan Johnson, Jr. of Clairton; her three daughters, Patrice, Terrae and Octavia (Raven) Shelly of Clairton; her seven grandchildren, Michael Wright, Jr., Tayuana Shelly, Donte’ Wright, Trey’on Shelly, Terriyah Shelly, Koree Wright and Te’Reign Johnson, all of Clairton; her son-in-love, Michael Wright, Sr. of Clairton; her sister, Patricia (Shawn) Thomas of Clairton; her brothers, Gary Shelly and Jonathan (Alana) Johnson, III of Clairton; her brothers-in-law, Charles (Kathleen) Shores of Florida and Herbert (Donna) Shores of Pittsburgh; her sister-in-law, Annette (Frank) Socci of North Versailles; her niece, Sade’ Shelly-Pitts of Duquesne; her nephews, Shawn Thomas, Jr. and Donte Thomas of Clairton and a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, cousins, dear coworkers and dear friends! Family and friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
